Diving
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience
introduces people to scuba diving in a highly supervised
and relaxed manner. New divers learn basic safety
concepts, put on equipment and swim around underwater.
Certain skills may be practiced and the experience
counted towards the confined water pool dives required
for an Open Water Diver certification.
Time: 1-3 hours

Skin Diver Course
The PADI Skin Diver Course allows divers to
enjoy themselves while building confidence in their skin
diving ability, developing judgment and gaining
experience under the supervision of a PADI professional.
The course consists of a knowledge development section
combined with pool and possibly open water skin diving
practice.
Time: approx. 8 hours
Minimum Age: 8

Open Water Scuba Diver
The PADI Open Water Diver course provides
the foundation for individuals to become entry-level
scuba divers. Along with safety and confidence, the Open
Water Diver course promotes enjoying the underwater
experience and appreciating the aquatic world.
Independent study will be combined with confined water
pool sessions and open water sessions. The course can be
completed in as little as two weekends.
Time: approximately 30 hours
Minimum Age: 15 years for full certification
10 years for Junior Scuba Diver - restricted
certification

Rescue Diver
The PADI Rescue Diver course expands the
basic problem prevention and accident management skills
student divers learn beginning with the Open Water Diver
Course. As Rescue Divers, students learn to manage more
complex diver emergencies and to apply direct
intervention techniques to assist others.
The course consists of knowledge reviews
combined with confined and open water dives.
Time: approximately 20 hours
Minimum Age: 15 for Rescue Diver
12 for Junior Rescue Diver
Prerequisite: Advanced Open Water Diver
CPR and Basic First Aid - within last two years
Cost: $250 (includes gear)

The PADI Scuba Review program is designed to
help certified divers update their dive knowledge and
skills - especially after a period of diving inactivity.
The program consists of a knowledge review and a confined
water skills review.

Discover Local Diving
Discover Local Diving is a supervised
underwater tour designed to orient divers to unfamiliar
aquatic conditions and environments. It may also be used
to reintroduce divers to the open water environment after
a period of diving inactivity.

Prerequisite: Open Water Diver/Junior Scuba Diver

Adventure Diver/Junior Adventure
Diver
The PADI Adventures in Diving program
provides divers with a structured means to explore
special diving interests and gain dive experiences. The
program allows student divers to customize their training
path and learn various underwater tasks that broaden
their awareness of the environment and their capabilities
as divers.
To complete the Adventure Diver program,
students shall choose three of the following subjects:
A knowledge review and open water dive are
completed for each subject.
Time: approximately 9 hours
Minimum Age: 15 for Adventure Diver
10 for Junior Adventure Diver
Prerequisite: Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Diver
Cost: $150
(includes manual that is also used for Advanced Open

Advanced Open Water
The PADI Advanced Open Water certification
is a continuation of the Adventures in Diving program. To
earn the Advanced Open Water rating, students complete a
Deep adventure dive and an Underwater Navigation
adventure dive in addition to the three dives chosen for
the Adventures in Diving program.
Time: approximately 4 hours
Minimum Age: 15 for Advanced Open Water
12 for Junior Advanced Open Water
Prerequisite: Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Diver
Cost: $80 (use manual purchased for Adventures in Diving)

Divemaster (professional-level
certification)
The PADI Divemaster course is designed to
help candidates develop exemplary diving skills, rescue
skills, and professional-level knowledge of dive theory.
Candidates also gain competence as a certified assistant,
develop dive management and supervision abilities and
learn how to independently conduct specific PADI programs.
The Divemaster course has three components -
knowledge development, water skills and stamina
assessment and practical application.
Time: approximately 50 hours
Minimum Age: 18
Prerequisite: Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver
Cost: $450

Coral Reef Conservation - Classroom course
for all ages covering information about coral reef
distribution, diversity, formation, ecology and
protective measures.
Project AWARE Specialty
Classroom presentation designed to
familiarize divers and non-divers of all ages with the
plight of worldwide aquatic ecosystems and to describe
what individuals can do to help protect them.
Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty
Course to assist all divers in polishing
their buoyancy control abilities through knowledge
development and skills practice.

PADI Bubblemaker Program
Introduces
scuba as an activity that allows children age 8 and above to experience
the underwater world. Under close supervision, participants swim around
on scuba in shallow confined water.
A recognition certificate and card make the
experience one to remember.
PADI Seal Team Program
An exciting
underwater activity-filled introduction to the world of diving for kids
age 8 and above.
To become official members of the Seal Team,
kids must complete the first five of 15 AquaMissions.
Completing the pool dive and answering
challenge questions in the PADI Seal Team AquaMission
Logbooks earns young divers an AquaMission decal.
Receiving a PADI Seal Team member card and
wall certificate recognizes their accomplishments and
allows them to work toward PADI Master Seal Team
recognition.
